Love's Labor's Lost

For the Fall 2018 Atlantic production of Shakespeare’s Love’s Labor’s Lost, directed by Shariffa Ali, I played Don Adriano de Armado. He is a Spanish traveler who is the guest at the Court of Navarre and very close friend of King Ferdinand. He spends his days discussing with his page, Moth, and trying to win the love of Jaquenetta, a woman working in the court. His attempts will intertwine with the efforts of the lords of the court until two love letters are miscarried, and the actions of the lords are unveiled. The man who miscarried them, Costard, will stand in the way of Don Adriano’s love until the very end, when all lovers will get a final chance to make a promise to each other despite an event that brings profound grief.
